The state certification exam is sponsored by the California Medical Assistants Association and is recognized by the medical Board of California.
The Antelope Valley Adult School is an approved computer-based testing site through PearsonVue testing.
Testing Procedure:
1 .Student completes a Medical Assistant approved program.
2. Student sends a completed application with fees paid to CCBMA at least two weeks before the scheduled testing date.
3. Application needs to have the student's original signature and the instructor's approval signature.
4. Copies of all 'Certificates of Completion' must accompany the application.
5. Once CCBMA receives the application and fees, they will send the student a letter of approval with their eligibility number.
6. Student is advised to call PearsonVue or visit their website and schedule their exam (information will be included in the letter).
7. Student's name will appear in our PearsonVue database as they register.
