Registration Information:
Registration takes place at our Lancaster main office during open business hours beginning on July 6, 2010 and continues on a first come, first served basis until classes are full or the second class meeting.
Payment is due at time of registration (cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover- no personal checks).
Classes with insufficient enrollment will be cancelled and a refund will be issued to students in the same manner as paid.

Certificates are awarded upon successful completion (some CTE classes qualify for elective credits in the AVAS Diploma program).

The Antelope Valley Adult School offers the following Certificate Programs:

Medical Assistant Certificate:

1. Medical Assistant - Terminology
2. Medical Assistant - Administrative Skills
3. Medical Assistant - Clinical Skills
4. Medical Assistant - Certification Review
5. Introduction to Computers (Recommended)
   Medical Assistant Certification Exam

Administrative Secretary Certificate:

1. Introduction to Computers
2. Keyboarding/Typing (Minimum 35wpm with 95% accuracy)
3. MS Word
4. MS Excel
5. MS Power Point
6. MS Publisher or Access
7. Office Skills and Business Communications.

Pharmacy Technician:

1. Pharmacy Technician (semester 1/2)
2. Pharmacy Technician (semester 2/2)
3. Medical Assistant - Terminology (recommended)
   Pharmacy Technician State Certification

General Office Clerk:

1. Introduction to Computers
2. Keyboarding/Typing (Minimum 35wpm with 95% accuracy)
3. MS Word
4. Office Skills and Business Communications
